You have all signed up for the Coast To Cawdor Castle 10k and we look forward to welcoming you to Nairn and Cawdor on Sunday 19th September.

It’s a taste of the Coast To Coast Event but without having to complete the whole journey. Follow in the footsteps of the Coast To Coasters but you’ll finish at the delightful Cawdor Castle, perhaps for tea and biscuits at their cafe, pay to enter their stunning gardens or perhaps even treat yourself in their fantastic restaurant.

The run itself starts on the Nairn Links near the famous bandstand, and swiftly takes you along the foreshore to the harbour, turning right alongside the River Nairn and inland. Following the eastern bank you’ll run on delightful paths in the riverside woodland to reach the edge of Cawdor village and then right past the door of the Castle itself to the finish-line just beyond. This run is advertised as 10k + a bit. The ‘+ a bit’ is the best bit, with the Castle in sight ahead!

Running shoes with some grip are advised especially if there has been some recent rain. The path can be narrow, sloping and with tree roots in places. As you near Cawdor village take care at our marshalled road crossing. Then minutes later you’ll see the Castle and be finishing the inaugural Coast To Cawdor Castle 10k.

Entries are still open
Tell your friends and ask them to sign up for the event at our event PAGE and online entry page HERE. Entries cost £15.

Registration
Registration will be open on Sunday from 0800am until 1030am Please come and register in plenty of time before the start. If you leave it to the last minute - you may be queuing. We will do our best to speed the process as we can. At registration you will receive your start number, safety pins and timing chip.

Location and Parking

Please note that the start of the 10k is in a different place to registration. The start takes place on Nairn Linkd, a short five minute walk from Community Centre. Please click here to view Start Location.

For the registration please do NOT park your car at the Nairn Community Centre car park where registration takes place. Please also avoid Viewfield Drive as we need access for large vehicles. You can park your car on the streets of Nairn which is free, or in one of the public car parks.

Bus travel
There is a transfer service available for the return journey from Cawdor to Nairn which can be booked at time of entry into the run. This is priced at £6 per person. You will also be able to pay for a transfer at the registration, subject to availability. Please note that any bus ticket bought at registration needs to be paid by cash ONLY. The bus will leave when full and return immediately for the next transfer of runners.
